While Mendix is known for its ease of use, flexibility, and integration capabilities, the responsibility for cybersecurity ultimately lies with the developer. That’s why we work together with Mendix to strengthen the platform’s security, so everyone can build on it with confidence.
Since 2015, The S-Unit has been testing the security of Mendix applications and the underlying platform. We do this not only for organizations using Mendix, but also as the official in-house pentesters for Mendix itself. Over the years, we’ve built the largest team of Mendix pentesters in Europe, combining deep expertise with hands-on experience.
With nearly a hundred Mendix applications tested each year and a global customer base, we’re deeply rooted in real-world practice. In addition, we conduct monthly penetration tests for Mendix itself. This constant stream of hands-on experience keeps us sharp and fully up to date with the latest developments within the platform.
For The S-Unit, security is not only about testing but also about sharing knowledge. Therefore, we actively contribute to the Mendix community by organizing trainings, workshops, and events. And we share knowledge and insights, including The S-Unit Top 10, helping developers build their applications even more securely.
We train Mendix developers and Mendix employees around the world in Mendix Security. In our Mendix: hacking and securing , you step into the world of a hacker and learn how to identify, understand, and prevent vulnerabilities. By taking on the role of the attacker yourself, you immediately experience how crucial secure development really is. This turns security from a theoretical concept into a tangible skill.
Our first Pre-CTF MeetUp was a hit! Together with Blue Green Solutions and the Low-Code Academy, we welcomed Mendix developers to our office in Utrecht to connect and exchange knowlege. These insights could make the difference during the Capture the Flag event.
One of the highlights of our partnership with Mendix is the annual Mendix Capture The Flag (CTF) event. During this global hacking competition, Mendix developers are challenged to find and exploit vulnerabilities in realistic scenarios. Our Mendix experts host multiple workshops, create various challenges, and coach participants throughout the event.
Whether you’re an experienced hacker or just getting started, the Mendix CTF offers a unique combination of learning and doing, tailored to all skill levels.
